Privacy policy

Effective date: January 1st 2020

 

ePsy believes in Client’s privacy and confidentiality to be of the outmost importance.  

For this reason, we make it a priority to ensure all the Applications used to connect with Clients are compliant with the latest in security policies and standards.  We also employ the latest in encryption protection to ensure we provide a safe and efficient online experience.

Our Therapists are required to receive yearly training in online security advances, and to provide written confirmation of this training.

Written communications

Any written communication between Therapist and Client will only be accessible to the Therapist and Client concerned.  No one else can read Client’s texts or emails.

 

Personal information

Any personal information provided to ePsy (ex: name, address, email) will remain confidential, unless its disclosure is required by law.

We will never disclose, sell, lease, or commercialize Client’s email or personal information in any way. 

Furthermore, in order to preserve Client’s confidentiality, no information on Clients will be shared with other Clients of ePsy.

 

Email

Clients’ email will not be shared or used in any other way than to communicate directly with the Client.

 

Advertising

When deciding on advertising, statistics about site visitors and Clients might be shared with an analyst. The information shared will always be limited to generic details such as males and females, or age brackets. 

Names and/or any other information that could be used to identify a specific person are never shared in such exercices.

 

Billing information

Information such as credit card number, expiry date, and billing address, will only be shared with the payment service providers.  We only work with reputable providers who guarantee not to use Client’s personal information for any other reason than for agreed upon payments to ePsy.

 

Minors

We will not provide services to anyone under the age of eighteen (18) knowingly, without the signed consent of a parent or tutor.

 

Cookies

As with any website, cookies help us improve our site. Under no circumstances are they used for any other purpose.

 

Changes to the Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we will revise the “Effective Date” date above and post the new Privacy Policy.  We recommend that you review the Privacy Policy each time you visit our site to stay informed of the latest practices.

As required by l’Ordre des psychologues du Québec, we take all reasonable measures to protect and conserve Client’s confidentiality, as well as all information related to Clients. Therapists are bound to inform Clients of any potential risks or breaches, if any, into Data transmission technologies.
